The wings she stole the sky with glow
as do the city and its people below

She fans the flame which stokes the coal
and kindles the string from the heart she stole;

Consumed by the sheer splendor of it all
my mind's deceit ignores the cry
to say the words and call
my eyes away from which they pry.

Now I watch in turn
as the wings she stole the sky with burn
