One last look
at what I took
for granted,
the way
the sun shot through
the Summer leaves
the slanting of your eyes
when I surprised you,
who could deprive
me of this?

the night that moved to day
so seamlessly
the times we kissed
so passionately

one more look
at what I took
for granted.
