Tiny hands hold little of substance,
... tiny fingers clench such bold lies,

tiny hands lunge at windmills,
... tiny fingers pick at fool's caps,

tiny hands grasp at follies,
... tiny fingers rifle through goodness,

tiny hands push at paper tigers,
... tiny fingers pull at dogs tails,

tiny hands read bad fortunes,
... tiny fingers get burned at dark flames,

tiny hands hold scary puppets,
... tiny fingers dabble in darkness,

tiny hands hold very few aces,
... tiny fingers roll stones up mountains,

tiny hands signal empty alarms,
... tiny fingers dig earth from fresh graves,

tiny hands hit left, right & centre,
... tiny fingers write false warnings,

tiny hands wear gloves of fool's gold,
... tiny fingers mine gems of bad fortune,

tiny hands smite the wrong enemies,
... tiny fingers bless sinners foreheads,

tiny hands just plain bewitch us,
... tiny fingers dance all devilish,

tiny hands brandish proclamations,
... tiny fingers tried to dazzle us,

tiny hands promise tricks abundant,
... tiny fingers draw forth distractions,

tiny hands may try to fool you,
... tiny fingers attempt to sooth you,

tiny hands don't grasp in friendship,
... tiny fingers signal dark forebodings,

tiny hands announce arrival,
... tiny fingers will not gain entry,

tiny hands do try our patience,
... tiny fingers do toil and trouble,

tiny hands hold no great promise,
... as tiny fingers dance before us,

while tiny hands show much misfortune,
in the teller's misty reading,
in globe's so cloudy
and all muddy,

as truth be told
on our
misfortune.
