Here we live across the impassable sea
(unless you have a boat, plane, or catch a ferry)
cut off from the many negative roads
that come from modern societies ills.
We are coddled to a greater or lesser
degree depending on how you live,
even here there are pitfalls to avoid.
But nested here away from the crowds
a spacious sky with time to breathe,
we are lucky on so many levels.
