Once the story is out
Judgment is cast
And truth lies buried
In the distant past
The world shifts
And angels weep
History’s rewritten
In pain so deep
It doesn’t matter
If one fine day
All is revealed
A price has been paid
The damage is done
And it just becomes
A test of character
And that battle won
So hold up your head
Til the evil’s exposed
Especially the lies
Under everyone’s nose
Look in the mirror
And simply realize
Your life’s not controlled
By the how and the why
But what you think
Of yourself...
That’s the greatest trust
Given to you
Til you turn to dust
