Dec 2016
over the trees like any other
yellow bold round invigorating
strong as the hope of  new things babies and kittens
clean kitchens aprons around mom's waist
the daily paper read by dad in his chair
the smell of pipe tobacco wafting
around his balding head
smells of bacon and eggs that sizzling
type of new break of any day
when yesterday home was home
family around,
I get reminiscent about the sounds
scents of memories
take a walk around them
now and then
stunned sometimes
how they are more real than today.
