Breaking Apart

by daniel-de-la-rosa

why something inside this empty shell will not stop. it has no name. no feeling. no emotion. no expression. but everywhere it goes, it leaves behind a trail of sorrow. what feeds this beast within? what causes it to shake so violently? the chains that bind always seem to break apart. no matter the size, no matter the material; they shatter. it can never be contained. how do you stop what cannot be tamed? this pain will not subside. medicine.. remedies.. time itself, has failed to heal. day and night, it roams. a Nomad. seeking out destruction. will it never leave? why must the suffering continue? what happened for this to have been deserved? will there ever be salvation? what of these aches and chills? why am I... breaking apart
