Come in the coffees on
remove your shoes
curl your toes
relax...

here upon my lap
where workday worries melt
softly away
as you lay your head against my heart.

Can you hear it whisper
softly your name?

Your breathing steadies into rhtymn
with my own
your hand rests gently on my shoulder
mouthing I love you

you sleep...

I inhale your hair
relaxing
into our nightly routine
of comfort
and coffee beans.
