I'm writing this for you
Even though you'll never see it
Even if and when you read it
I'm writing this for you
Even though you won't believe it
Because you've been trained to never see it
I'm writing this for you
For your lonely thoughts and fading dreams
To shine a light as hope recedes
The only cure for their disease
I'm writing this for you
To say that you are not alone
And that your pain is not your own
I'm writing this for you
Because I've finally found my home
Inside your head. I come alone.
Where you are hollow, I share your cold.
You still can't see it, but that's okay
This light will shine until the end of days.
