It was cry for help!
she screamed, she choked on her heart
Oh they enjoyed it,
enjoyed every bit of her scream, like a lullaby
She was tired,
     dead tired, as she wept…
At the crack of dawn, she heard the rooster crow
her cries turned into laughter, an unkempt laughter!
They started laughing with her
cheered her on by clapping hands, song and dance
She paused her laugh and looked at them,
her face immersed in the morning sunlight
     showing nothing but innocence..
They walked away,
walked away with no sign of regret
The little girl paused her laugh,
     she paused her laugh forever!!
