Empathy.
It is so little thought of and barely used,
Such scarcity of this leaves me vulnerable and bruised,
Broken and sore have I become that I know that I cannot be the only one,
The only one who burdens this pain,
The idea of how long I will remain has become a rather large strain.

Empathy.
So seldom sought out, so little touched.
Am I the only one to say that this is enough?
Oh how bitter we have matured to one another,
I say nothing for I feel like such a bother,
This distress will drag itself out until my end,
Until I have not one single shred of empathy left to help you mend.
