May 2016
Gullies glide gracefully over skeletal planes
Oblique sunshine withers in the gray
Obsolete, it warms no living creature
Dormant seeds lie hidden beneath gravel,
Buried beneath a sea of smothered
Yearning--awaiting rainfall which looms an
Eternity away
"Love was a country we couldn't defend." -Gregory Alan Isakov
