Do not walk in my shoes
They don't fit, they bite
said my mother,
when I was born

Barefoot, I walked
my entire life
and I couldn't stand
the regret of others
piercing through my feet

In eager to escape the suffering
one day, I placed my foot
In her shoe
to realize that
There were needles in them
