Starlight bouncing of a river
A celestial stage
In a lovers auditorium
We see the reflection as a symbol
As a part of something bigger
We see the reflection as ourselves

And its love
Its a honeymoon
Its a fleeting feeling of forever
Its an illusion

But on the horizon
Storms are raging
Wind is blowing
In our direction
And we know before too long

Thunder and lightning

Lightning bouncing off a river
The cynic in me
Is unbound and free
Its not enough light to guide me home
And that river is perilous
And im tired of swimming

And its sink or swim
I can swim no more
Let me reach the shore
Before I drown

I turn around
And you aren't there
But I don't care
Maybe your on a different shore
Maybe your on the ocean floor

This river chewed you up and spit you out
