They’re out there
Buying dreams
While reality
All but screams
It’s not as simple
As it first seems
When promises are sold
By the reams

Saying it
Don’t mean it’s done
They sell horseshit
By the ton
They’ll say anything
When they run
Whether for
Or against the gun

Some we don’t like
Some we do
Either or
It’s me or you
Who’ll decide
What’s false or true
When they drop
The other shoe

When politicians
Pulls their strings
What desperation
Often brings
Is people go for
Lot’s of things
Which ever way
The pendulum swings
