The sound of gravel
Grinding under shoe
Heading down a path
Winding towards the ocean
Green lushness of cedar and bush
Coastal forest scents deep and musky
Wave sounds grow louder and clearer
You taste salt and hear gulls
Then emerge through the thick blackberries
Eyes take in the expanse of the Pacific
Breathing slows and at once calm
PNW in fall
