Self induced inferno ,torching grass in mid-Winter spurring Spring growth , driving smoke into Rockdale , armed with Mason jar canteen , flat shovel , mattock at mercy of Alabama and her Western breeze an the conflagration before us , beyond well , spring or cistern , until the thirst of fire is quenched and at guard well into twilight .............
