They're wrapped around his ankles,
they're pulling him down--
so much time, so much time wasted
they're dragging him down.

All the battles he's fought
cutting losses, cutting himself--
he feels the wires' pull
they'er dragging him down.

All he's invested in,
all he's spent--
all he's put into it
it all falls apart.

He feeæs the wires' pull.
