Shimmer
She walked away with no more words to fail
His glass heart serves as the strongest jail,
She walked away,
Heart in her palm, silent as the grave.
Shimmer, shimmer on,
No more tears when the day is done,
Shimmer, shimmer so quietly,
Never know, she meant the world to he.
Shimmer, oh shimmer, eyes of light
Shimmer till your heart is black.
Once he wore that smile on his face,
Woeful eyes have taken its place,
She moved on within two weeks time,
He wept, so softly no rhythm, no rhyme,
He turned away, he forced himself to push through the day,
A month to a year and hubris counts to his teardrops on the floor, a wasted love
Rejected, evermore,
Shimmer, shimmer, his eyes burned red,
Yes shimmer, shimmer to love now dead.
With death at his door he welcomes him in, shimmer, shimmer,
He pays no sin.
He takes a breath to say
"One day, but not today"
Shimmer, shimmer a passing girl,
Shimmer, shimmer
She's his whole world.
Once she passes through the open door,
Those eyes will shimmer,
Nevermore
Maybe trying to work this as a song
