would you hand me a match?
I've got another bridge to burn
while I'm standing on the rotting planks
above the sea

where the waves are made up
of my enemies
and they are ready to churn
up my bones
into dust

and then eventually nothing

while the sharks
complain that they
didn't get to devour me

could you please pass the milk?
I need its creamy contents
to carelessly be spilt
so I may cry again
without good reason

and quake and shake
the earth and the sky
until it shatters

while jagged pieces fall
trying to decapitate me
like the blade
of a guillotine

will somebody please send me a sign
that there is more light in this world
than can be taken in by the eye?

No?
I'm not surprised
but thanks for trying to deceive
beyond my eyes

it takes more than faith
to press my thoughts
until they're flat
and none of you
have what it takes
