Heartaches by moonlit streets
Two hearts walking, part ways
Both with shuffling feet
Both wishing the other would stay

Mistakes taken to heart
With fragile minds at stake
Like being lost without a chart
So words to a heart did make

Wounds too deep to mend
By a sharp tongue spoken
To a confused mind condemned
By a heart mistakenly broken

Heartaches by moonlit streets
Two hearts walking, part ways
Both with shuffling feet
And so it ends this day
