Who will we let die my love
In darkness neath the torrential rain
Of bombs
•
•
And the screams of hungry children ?
:::
( yes my love
I've got to know )
• •
It looks like a pretty suburban street
But it's really a path thru the graveyard
Where the ghosts and the politicians
Meet again
( one last time )
:///:
Most of us are of the Dead
::
We are only phantoms
holograms
Looking like men
•
oh my love I knew you when
You wore your flesh like a heavenly
Bouquet
And your dreams were the envy
Of the gods
And Magic was the normal
Way we lived
//
//
Still
We pretend !
( Still ! )
••
Dark skin
Tragic shape
The women
Up and down and all around
••
step by step thru the tragedy
//
Oh my love your sweetness still
Can bring the life back if you'd dare
Reveal exactly who you are
And bare your breast to each child's eye
And to each soul reveal your heart
//
...... If and when
and if and when you bare your light
Know ( of course )
I shall be there
