May 2015
She wears lies like a mink coat
Wrapped warmly in their soft caress
Enclosed in their comforting sin
She wears lies like modesty
Flashing a hint of truth like a smile
Never revealing the flesh beneath
She wears lies like lace
The holes in each tale told
Are just beautifully expected details
She wears lies like smoke
The devil's accessory
Whispering around her in her silence
She wears lies like confidence
Assuring her tender innocence
That the truth is a horrible thing
She wears lies like cashmere
Silky and smooth to the touch
But not worth it in the end
She wears lies like shadows
Stalking her even in the light
A constant companion
She wears lies like love
Desire that burns her heart
Lost in a sea of tangled tales
She wears lies like a noose
About to step off the edge
And tell the truth
