... the Rising Sun .. .. .. ..
( ain't YE got dem
******* Blues ? )
//
//
please tell my baby sister
Not to do what I have done
But to shun that House
of pain and misery
They call the Rising Sun
///
You can sell your self for money
You can sell yourself for love
//
You can walk the day free And not as a slave
If you really want
//
If you really want
•
can you love someone without wanting *** ?
Can you want *** from someone without loving them ?
Hey , maybe the boy you want who you say is rejecting you
Is really transgender
Or gay
//
To profile someone as a REJECTOR
or a BETRAYER
is no different than labeling the person by
Race , religion , nationality , or orientation
BUT WE LIKE TO CONSIDER OURSELF
THE TOUCHSTONE
BY WHICH EVERYTHING IS MEASURED
//
we might think it honest
To yield unto others the tolerance we crave ourselves
:::::
So
Why does a love that seems strong change ?
•
Because some times it should
//
And so we sing
//
Please tell my baby sister
Not to do what I have done ........
