Across the Delta
Ponds
the frogs are
chirping

and the winged
geese have
flown the
day away

and every
Tuesday
wind is
here,
engulfing

as I watch the
day's
glow fade
from gold
to grey.

the strip across
the sky is
like a puzzle

without borders,
just an orange
or
reddish hue

and the moon
above the
field is
slowly
rising

In all the
ecstasy of
Oregon,
I want you.
