You wanted to save the nervous boy
He wanted to tame the wild girl
A factory made of damaged goods
It's alright as long as the profits do well
He put you behind the camera
And at first you loved the glitz and glamour
Till your friends started dropping like flies
And you saw the emptiness in his eyes
He was your ally, but he never let you have the spoils
He crumpled up your paper heart and threw it away
like a piece of tin foil
a poem I wrote after watching "Factory Girl"
