I thought the world would stand still when we kissed.
I thought id hear whispers of love in my ear
All I could here was an echo of my own subconscious
Telling myself to hold on to my wits
Because of love and rust and all that goes
your heart was never mine
and everyone know
The truth of bitterness and regret
Ill never forget your smile, your eyes facing the direction
that wasnt mine
At least you knew and so did I
That this was an illusion and a lie
of sweetness and with a taste of sighs
We depart with our goodbye
A clean break.
