You're staring daggers
Right at me.
Your tongue,
a sword.
Your mouth,
a gun.
Your words
Are bullets,
And you never miss a shot.

I am stripped bare
Before you:
No shield,
No mail hauberk,
No helmet.
I am stripped naked
Before you.

My skin pockmarked
Blue, violet,
And in some cases black,
As I suffer the bruises
From the punches and the jabs.

My body covered
In exit wounds:
Bullet wounds,
And knife wounds,
As I endure the
Metal piercing me.

My fingers bleeding
As I hold on to the shards
Of our broken hearts.

You are my downfall.
My undoing.
You are the
Bane of my existence.

And everyday,
I die
A thousand deaths
Because of you.
