Innocence dripped from her satin tongue
Old conversations that took place
All night long until the silent cry of dawn
She spoke to me like she’s never spoken
My ears listened until they were deaf
And I could no longer hear
The beauty spewing from her mangled mouth
I ran my fingers through her hair
Caressing every tangled knot
Undying love in its perfection
Is reasoning for the world to exist
In all its shattered enlightenment
