Jan 2015
follow me into the evergreens
that clutter up the inside of my head
you can crack my skull open
and pull out everything you want to know

let me climb the mountains
you have manufactured in your heart
i’ll go all the way to the top
slow enough to not miss anything

i’ll dig the first hole to the center of the earth
and come back with a jar full of molten lava
if that’s what you need from me
if that’s what you want from me

there have never been walls between us
but i am a mess
and i think you probably are too-
not even that can stop me from loving you
