lights
Q Feb 2019
I wish that I could contain light in the way you catch rain inside plastic boxes

I wish that I could peel it off of the floor and keep it in a bottle

And I wish I could store it

and pour it

over my skin like oil

or reach up and steal it from the sky or even the ceiling or even from behind my computer screen

So that i could hold it in the palm of my hand and know that I’m okay

Becoming soft
Q Nov 2020
Slowly, slowly
I feel my soft edges sharpen from the touch of the world
The warmth of my heart grow colder from the ugliness it feels in the cruelty of people
And when I feel these things I lock away the million things I have to do
and walk
Softly, softly
Into the sun and trees and breeze,
Find the love in humans,
The kindness of the world
And allow myself to be soft once again

My broken lover
Q Nov 2020
My broken lover
You tell me to bloom flowers and thorns for you
For you cannot feel my love without the pain that is so common to you
Darkened whispers flood the warmth of my body where you kissed me and promised ti porterò via da qui
I will take you away from here
And In the places you traced I am blossoming constellations In bleeding masses and flooding back to you
One more promise and I’ll tell you all the secrets I had locked away

started from the second that I saw you hurled up at the bottom of the door way you told me id never see it your way even for a second, but I tried

I’m sorry I couldn’t be the one that took away the pain for you

Whispers
Q Nov 2020
The words we speak fall down around us

like whispers

forgotten as quickly as they are utteterred

Catching up
Q Nov 2020
I wanna take a step
N close the gap
Between all the thing I wanna be and me
But there’s the impossibility
All my other selves catching up to me
Which one am I supposed to be
