You held my focus
With every slip of your tongue

My breath snatched, lungs yours
Melodic laugh a miracle among cures

Held at gun point by your eyes
Admiring soft angles, no harsh lines
You have me mesmerised

But those eyes drift, much like the tide
All your sweet nothings
Evaporate, and your words recognised
Hollow, passion if a lie cannot die

My focus on you is not returned
The realisation bitter
Indirectly burned, lesson learned

As the drip continues
It will soo end
I’ll gain a new fixation
This path will bend

Until then, smoke fills my lungs
And I choke on unspoken dismay
If between us there is a string of fate
I’ll stand back, admiring the fray
Unrequited feelings, baby. A source of inspiration at the very least.

They’re hunting me down
He tore my gown
This night was supposed to be magic
But I know now it can only end tragic

A gunshot resounds and I taste sounds

The last thing I see
Is my blood splatter on a tree

The last thing I hear
My own scream, ringing in fear

The last thing I smell
Is the dirt I hit when I fell

Warm brown eyes full of enchanting lies
Wouldn’t let go, and on this forest floor
My blood slowly dries

He wouldn’t take no
And he wouldn’t let go
So here I will fade
In a pillow of snow

I wrote this when I was eleven and I just felt like it should be my first share, baby.
