Let us pass our time by honourably No stain of sin incur Our deeds of wrong, through God’s undoing Our paths at last to virtue set Death to pride, to sloth, to hate To lust and wanton cruelty And in its place, to cultivate The heart of Christian Charity Note well ye faithful gentlemen These hallowed souls gone long afore Their lives as footprints seen ahead To guide us on our way.

The Path of Virtue
Let us pass our time by honourably No stain of sin incur Our deeds of wrong, through God’s undoing Our paths at last to virtue set Death to pride, to sloth, to hate To lust and wanton cruelty And in its place, to cultivate The heart of Christian Charity Note well ye faithful gentlemen These hallowed souls gone long afore Their lives as footprints seen ahead To guide us on our way.
A poetic exhortation and encouragement to keep on practicing good.
