We toil all day In the heat of the sun Just for the night For life's true fun Dancing across Meadows with glee The cornfields whisper "Sing to me" So sing I do Loud and clear My voice proudly ringing For nature to hear The birds hear me The crickets too But I wish so hard That the one who heard was you I think back To long summer nights Dancing about In the gentle moonlight I miss you so It's like a trance Just longing For one more dance Barefoot in the meadows Dancing quietly Swaying side to side Content that you're with me

Life's True Fun
We toil all day In the heat of the sun Just for the night For life's true fun Dancing across Meadows with glee The cornfields whisper "Sing to me" So sing I do Loud and clear My voice proudly ringing For nature to hear The birds hear me The crickets too But I wish so hard That the one who heard was you I think back To long summer nights Dancing about In the gentle moonlight I miss you so It's like a trance Just longing For one more dance Barefoot in the meadows Dancing quietly Swaying side to side Content that you're with me
I've come to realize that sometimes, the best time to sing and reflect is when nobody but nature is with you
