Such a deep sadness I see in you.
And when we were together I felt it too.
The air we shared was tainted.
It was so thick, I could have fainted.
You hoped for a rescue.
One you thought I could give you.
But now I’m left with guilt.
Because I just left you to wilt.
I hope you can still nourish yourself.
Because I’ve put our love on the top shelf.
So my greedy hands don’t selfishly indulge.
And now you won’t have to divulge.
Instead, I’ve told our story.
And it’s still gory.
Everyone always sees me as a villain.
And I still haven’t been able to make that thrilling.
