1. wreathing out smoke and fire flemmy lungs gutted up i uproot in your direction anger and hecks of bronchial material so mad so beastly so red-in-the-face why am i so mad ? so mad i’m fitting toward the grave 2. peace filling lungs held like the buoyant sacs on seaweed held back pressure not strained the brain takes a beating and i await my revelation tightened senses and thought holding my breath at the bottom of the swimming pool 3. lung fuelled of enemy i shouldn’t hurt like i do at this age lungs draw in like they’re taking poison breathing impact and bruises and i am drawn back through time to climb trees of jealousy embarrassment mistakes and trauma i steep from this and into concentration and then a practice of meditation 4. i turn to you in your sleep lungs of love i make word your way all the pleasure of breath
