Music is the Poor Man’s Vacation

People speak of their trips.

Trips of where they will go.

But I speak of music

and all the love it shows.

Music is the Poor Man’s Vacation

The Poverty stricken people’s escape,

No money to put on the table,

Holes in the wall covered with tape.

Music breaks down the boundaries,

It pushes past the farthest of limits.

It gives a hand to the down-trodden,

and shows love to all those who put within it.

Music is the band-aid for your cut.

Music is the chicken soup for your cold.

Music can be the strength for the mentally weak,

No matter what you choose Rap, Pop, or Soul.

Music has been the backbone for many generations,

There was silence before

But Music,

Music is the Poor Man’s Vacation.
