Today is not normal. I cannot hear the clock annoyingly ticking— it stopped at 11:59. So I put on my black-and-white socks and wander out to buy a battery. The trees seem quiet, the winter probably took away their beloved leaves. The sky seems quite sad, or maybe the city lights just overwhelm me. I arrive at the convenience store, but there is no cashier to ask. The silence is killing me, so I hurry and look for a battery pack. But nothing can be found. Nothing can ever be found in this place. So I go home living another day with this clock.

Broken clock
