I love you still even if you don't know it I wanted to tell you that I married a man I never met before On our wedding night he took me to bed He called me his flower While I was withering away When he touched me I could not feel it And he asked me if I minded his touch I said "no, I would never" Then thought to myself "why would a corpse care for the maggots in its body?" And I drank something I promised you I wouldn't And tomorrow morning I'll be back in those fields We used to play in when we were kids Because I asked of God in a prayer once Let heaven be when I was just a child Before I knew that what I felt about you Was called love

Yours is the only soil that keeps me alive
