How foolish of me to assume you'd wait,
as if another man wasn't at hand,
ready to take my place.
How selfish of me to waste your days,
as if *** and expensive dates were enough to make you stay.
I hope he treats you better than I did,
professes his loves whereas I bottled it up and denied it.
I hope you find peace within his presence,
may he ease your mind and resolve all of your unanswered questions.
