What Do I Offer

What do I have

to offer to thee

For all that I have

is nothing but me

The love and the caring

deep in my heart

These simple words

that rhyme we call art

All I can offer

be it high or low tide

I will hold onto your hand

and remain by your side

If there is any way

I can brighten your soul

You can be sure

that it will be my goal

My feelings my love

Is much more than a fling

It is in my life

A beginning

Like spring

New found belonging

T’is where my heart will now live

To keep you here forever

What must I give

It is longing eternal

A warm place to rest

It is my heartbeat

With your head on my chest

To make your eyes sparkle

To capture your soul

Please you must tell me

Just what is the toll.
