Going through old recipe books looking for something good to cook I found old pages, torn and tattered smudged and dirtied with cake batter finger prints and flour dusted pages Recipes that had been passed down for ages Made with love and yellowed with time It brought back so many memories to mind The smells in the kitchen and all the laughter where all the family women would gather Sharing the gossip and our days with each other Sisters, daughters ,good friends and mothers That's when I realized that every recipe here was the perfect meal because it was so dear, Each one held a different sweet memory of someone special in my family

The Family Recipes
Going through old recipe books looking for something good to cook I found old pages, torn and tattered smudged and dirtied with cake batter finger prints and flour dusted pages Recipes that had been passed down for ages Made with love and yellowed with time It brought back so many memories to mind The smells in the kitchen and all the laughter where all the family women would gather Sharing the gossip and our days with each other Sisters, daughters ,good friends and mothers That's when I realized that every recipe here was the perfect meal because it was so dear, Each one held a different sweet memory of someone special in my family
I have so many recipes passed down through the ages and treasure each one of them. I still make them and make sure the family knows where they originated from and whose recipe they are. They are now in a family recipe cookbook to be enjoyed and made for years to come.
