Sometimes when I sit in silence I hear voices Whispering in my ears, like a breath so quiet you struggle to listen To the hush you can barely make out words Shivering down the spine like cold water Igniting the flesh in goosbumps My whole body stands at attention Running a fevered hand across the brow I try to forget Because sometimes acknowlegement invites trouble.

Sometimes I hear things
Sometimes when I sit in silence I hear voices Whispering in my ears, like a breath so quiet you struggle to listen To the hush you can barely make out words Shivering down the spine like cold water Igniting the flesh in goosbumps My whole body stands at attention Running a fevered hand across the brow I try to forget Because sometimes acknowlegement invites trouble.
