that was the moment of this past year
that was the moment i twirled in the mirror
and felt a smile on my face
i felt pretty? no, free
i felt like the world was off my shoulders
i had my hair blown out, my purple dress on, and glitter all over
it was probably the last and only dance id go to
but in that moment i never felt more alive
she took my hands and screamed “ahh STUNNING”
i didnt know half these people
i didnt even have words to say
but that was it wasnt it?
it was just me and strangers spinning on the floor
the music echoed and i didnt have to say a word
we held hands and jumped around
and photos from a blue polaroid slid out
paint all over our arms
and lost feelings from the past
were all coming back
we spun and spun and spun
and laughed and laughed and laughed
and then the world crashed
as you pulled me into a hug
“you know i love you right”
and that was the moment
of blue polaroids, and endless spinning, stunning hair
and my hate for everything in this world stopped
“i love you too”
“god i love you i love you i love you”
all i have now is a blue polaroid
of you holding me close
and that was the moment i knew.

had my school dance today, i in fact did not say i love you that was just me being a romantic but i did in fact get called stunning and….delicious…? i mean ig thats just my friends😭🫶
