Wish this city's smog doesn’t settle in Wish these noises don’t creep in Making my day, my mood a hectic hue Broken hearts, love affairs and office tid-bits Wish I’d peacefully for one day stand in a queue And not be bogged down by Monday morning blues But if all these scenery is taken away Would there be a city, a town or bed to lay To oust our shadowed yearnings- we have turned to the cluster and clangs. The rush, the reverberant noise, the raucous sounds, the adrenaline pumping adventures serving as a palliative to needs within us now suppressed could we for once be silent and still and ask amongst ourselves “why did we our peace ****
