If my face was a screen Maybe then I'd feel seen But my touch don't fill you up with dopamine My body's made of driftwood Mismatched boards and rusty nails My heart is burning oil just to beat If i came with applications To give you instant gratification Maybe then you could never put me down So ill fight for your attention Every like and every mention Hope that next year you will still keep me around My soul is tired and old Run on heat from soot and coal But these tracks are the only home I know Melt the skin from off my bones Walk the wires for telephones Through cyber spaces colder than December snow If my mouth was a TV Maybe then someone would hear me Its like screaming under water trying to feel But I'll never be the same Lace my boots with pain and shame Never knowing what the **** is ever real
