Your love has led me through veils of night, To cities hidden from the sun’s bright light. Before your gaze, I knew not this pain, Where joy dissolves and tears remain. I walked on roads of ache and stone, Each step a path to the vast unknown. The fountains there flow with sorrow’s wine, A sweetness laced with grief divine. Your eyes became my compass and guide, Through storms within, to oceans wide. I learned the taste of salt in rain, A language carved from love’s own vein. No heart can live if it does not weep, For sorrow wakes what silence keeps. Through burning streets, I began to see, A human is born from such agony. Without your love, was I ever whole? A hollow frame without a soul. Now I belong to this endless fire, For pain reveals the lover’s desire. Your love is both the wound and balm, A chaos wrapped in tranquil calm. Through cities of sorrow, you make me stay, Dragging my shadow toward the day.

Cities of Sorrow, Cities of Flame
