Like light through the eyes of a prism, I saw the colours Of a future that made dreams want to start dreaming The fabrics of your essence, woven with care that transcends time An ever present glow, brown eyes that makes Christmas chime I needed you to stay, I needed you today But I let you drift away Broken chords from sweet, full of words but nothing to say “I love you” never came home to you; It lived on the lips of a man named ricochet Nerve ending pains as broken glass petals severs the nerves causing pain My love where are you? My heart can never be the same I gave a part never shared with any soul Dance to my tune I beg, dance till we get old On bended knees and hands, lost in the mist of another broken dream I smiled and said I was fine, but I wish you heard my scream I needed you today, I needed you to stay Broken glass petals, my heart was never meant to see this day
