I hate to contradict a lady (I am very old fashioned), but you most definitely do not suck at poetry in my view. Getting an idea or emotion across to a reader can be more difficult with a short poem than a long one but you do that extremely well. I enjoy your writing regardless of whether you use more words or fewer.

Someone very wise just told me that brevity is an art when done correctly. And that&#8217;s what you&#8217;ve done here. Your short piece reads so much longer in the mind of a reader who gets this.
