The moon is sighted, the "Ramadan Kareem" texts fly, Mothers calling everyone, "Suhoor is ready!" a joyful cry. We reach for phones to wake the cousins and the kin, As first day’s hunger is nothing to the peace within. @emy

The First Wake-Up Call
The moon is sighted, the "Ramadan Kareem" texts fly, Mothers calling everyone, "Suhoor is ready!" a joyful cry. We reach for phones to wake the cousins and the kin, As first day’s hunger is nothing to the peace within. @emy
The first day is to appreciate the culture of reaching out to loved ones more in Ramadan than any other days.
